We have found one of the most important things to take away is a favourite bed or blanket to help your dog settle in a new place. You may be tempted to wash this before you go, but it is the familiar smell of home that’s going to provide your dog with comfort.
Sticking to your dog’s normal routine as much as possible when travelling can also make them feel safe and happy in a new environment. For example, if they always play with a particular on their morning walk make sure to take that along, or if they have a chew after their dinner each night ensure you have enough with you for the days you are away.
